Under the agreement Marlink becomes an official supplier of the Intellian range of VSAT antennas. Intellian’s VSAT communications and satellite TVRO antennas are used by ocean-going ships and vessels in the leisure, commercial, oil & gas, and military markets. The Marlink deal is expected to give Intellian greater access to the commercial shipping industry to which Marlink has provided satellite communication services for many years. 25% of the commercial shipping sector is said to use a communication service provided by Marlink.
